Generally, the male rotor drives the female rotor to rotate as the active rotor. The ball bearing on the rotor enables the rotor to achieve axial positioning and bear the axial force of the compressor. Tapered roller thrust bearings at both ends of the rotor achieve radial positioning and bear radial and axial forces of the compressor. At the both ends of compressor host, open a certain shape and size of orifice respectively.
One is called inspiration, and the other one is called exhaust.

Screw Air Compressor Structure

An oil injection screw air compressor is mainly composed of main engine and auxiliary engine. The main engine includes the main engine of screw air compressor and main motor, and the auxiliary engine includes exhaust system, fuel injection and oil-gas separation system, cooling system, control system and electrical system. In the intake and exhaust system, the free air enters the suction port of the air compressor after the dust and impurities are filtered by the air inlet filter, then mixes with the injected lubricating oil during compression. The compressed oil-gas mixture is discharged into the oil-gas separation drum, then sent to the use system after oil-gas separation, minimum pressure valve, rear cooler and air-water separator.
In the fuel injection and oil-gas separation system, the lubricating oil in the oil-gas separation drum maintain the flow in the circuit when the air compressor operates normally, and it depends on the differential pressure between the exhaust port and fuel injection port of the air compressor. Under the differential pressure, the lubricating oil enters the oil cooler, temperature control valve and oil filter to remove impurities and particles, then most of the lubricating oil is sprayed into the compression chamber of the air compressor for lubricate, seal, cool and reduce noise, and the rest is sprayed into the bearing chamber and the speed increasing gearbox respectively.

Operating Principle

1.Inspiratory process
One end of the teeth gradually disengages from the mesh with the movement of the rotor to form an inter tooth volume. The expansion of the tooth volume make a certain internal vacuum. Meanwhile, the inter tooth volume is only connected with the suction port, so that the gas flows under the differential pressure. During the subsequent rotor rotation, the teeth of the male rotor are continuously separated from the tooth slots of the female rotor, therefore, the inter tooth volume expanded that connected with the suction port. When the inter tooth volume reaches the maximum value with the rotor rotates and disconnected from the suction port, the inspiratory process ends. Then, the tooth peak of the male and female rotor is sealed with the casing, and the gas in the tooth slot is surrounded in a closed space by the rotor teeth and the casing, this is called the sealing process.

2.Compression process
Because of the meshing of rotor teeth with the rotor rotates, the inter tooth volume is continuously reduced, and the volume of the sealed gas is also reduced, therefore, the gas pressure increased to achieve the gas compression process. The compression process can continue until the inter tooth volume is closely connected with the exhaust port.

3.Exhaust process
After the inter tooth volume is connected with the exhaust port, the exhaust process begins. When the inter tooth volume decreases continuously, the gas with internal compression end pressure is gradually discharged through the exhaust port. Until the molded lines at the end of the tooth is fully engaged, the process ended, meanwhile, the gas in the inter tooth volume is completely discharged through the exhaust port, and the volume of the closed inter tooth volume will become zero.
